No, only individual, enterprise, and seed funder members can apply for a seat. Associate members are not eligible.

The elections are divided into two phases: 50% of the seats were elected in October 2024, and the remaining 50% will be elected in April 2025.

We propose the community-elected committee self-elect a chair within two weeks of the election result.

No, it is one person one seat.

Yes, the community seats for this committee will be part of the election.

Yes, if you are a member of an organization which is paying for an Enterprise membership and for your membership too, then you can apply to be a candidate and you can also vote in the election.

Yes, any member can participate in Working Groups and Special Interest Groups. This is actively encouraged.

Associates are very much welcome to participate in Town Halls, Working Groups and Special Interest Groups.

chevron-rightI am an employee of a seed funder organisation, can I vote?hashtag

As an employee of a seed funder organisation you are not eligible to vote, however if you personally join Intersect as an individual member then you will be able to vote through this membership.

chevron-rightIs there a limit on the number of seats that enterprise members, including founding organizations, can occupy per committee?hashtag

Yes, the current rule states that an enterprise member can hold a maximum of one seat per committee. However, this is still under review, so there may be future adjustments. There is an exception for the Product Committee and the Technical Steering Committee, where an enterprise member can hold up to two seats.

chevron-rightWhat happens if I’m elected to both the ISC and another committee?hashtag

If a candidate is nominated or elected to both the ISC and another committee, they are encouraged to prioritize their seat on the ISC. In this case, the candidate would step down from their seat on the other committee, allowing the next eligible candidate to take their place.

chevron-rightCan I be part of more than one committee if elected?hashtag

While it’s possible, we strongly recommend that community members join no more than two elected committees. Each role typically requires around 20 hours of commitment per month, and taking on more than two could affect your ability to contribute effectively and sustainably.

Yes, the entire end-to-end Intersect Committee Elections process will be audited by DQuadrant. All relevant information and datasets will be appropriately shared with the audit team to ensure transparency and accountability.
