Intersect and its members play an important role in shaping the proposed on-chain governance mechanisms - and the development of off-chain tools and processes to support it, including the rollout of Cardano’s first Constitution. During 2024, the drafting process and ratification of Cardano’s Constitution will take place, involving thousands of participants across the world.
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to coordinate software development of the Cardano Governance Tools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software product development, proficient knowledge of agile methodologies, and exceptional leadership capabilities to effectively manage project teams and stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from initial planning to execution and post-implementation support.
Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of software development projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
Facilitate agile ceremonies including backlog organization, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, QA engineers, and product managers to define project requirements, prioritize tasks, and resolve impediments.
Utilize project management processes and tools to track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Experience with GitHub project management tools is highly desirable.
Lead discussions and workshops with subject matter experts to gather requirements and define sprint plans.
Effectively communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project management staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software product development, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience in leading agile teams.
Proficiency in project management tools and techniques. Experience with GitHub project management tools is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate project teams.
Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM) is highly desirable.
