# Cardano Product committee (CPC)

## What is the Product committee?

The Cardano Product committee (CPC) manages development scope across multiple categories including core development, features, research, and marketing, and establishes roadmaps that align with strategic goals. It evolved from what was originally conceived as a Vision Committee into a broader product function. Working with subject matter experts and the broader community through open calls and surveys, the committee helps the Cardano community collectively determine the ecosystem's direction and priorities.

## Why is this committee important?

The Product committee facilitates the processes that help the Cardano community create a vision and a strategy.

## Which topics does this committee cover?

The Product committee covers topics such as roadmap, focusing on the 'why' and the related strategy, long-term vision and broader user/customer needs.

## How to join?

Any member of Intersect can run for election to assume a voting seat, and any member or associate of Intersect can connect to the Product committee via the Intersect discord server. Intersect always communicates details on how to apply and vote well in advance of each election.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.intersectmbo.org/intersect-knowledge-base/intersect-membership/intersect-committees/product-committee.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
